in the month of May. Here are four ways women (and men) can better take care of themselves. Start these habits now and you will definitely feel the difference it can make in your life.
Come In For An Adjustment
Do you think we could make this anything but number 1? Your life may not be quite in alignment, but your spine can be! An aligned spine can greatly improve your quality of life. It can help relieve low back and neck pain, ear infections, help to lower blood pressure, prevent surgery, and even lessen headaches. Once you’re adjusted, begin to exercise. Find a form of exercise you really enjoy! Do you like to dance? Try Zumba? Need a few minutes of peace and meditation? Try Yoga! Even if it’s just a walk with your kids to the park or with your dog around the lake, take at least 30 minutes to exercise.
- Check Your Diet!
Begin by adding in more fruits and vegetables. Take small steps to help you increase your protein and fiber intake. Add sliced fruit to your cereal, make fruit or veggie smoothies with whole fruits and 100% juice. Try dipping vegetables in low-fat dressing or hummus. Our favorite way of cooking vegetables is to roast them. It really brings out their flavor and acts as a great side dish.

Everyone has heard the “8 glasses a day” rule, but it really varies person to person how much water you need. According to Mayo Clinic, most women should drink 6-9 cups of water a day. If you are exercising, living in a humid environment, pregnant, nursing, or have other health issues, you need even more
